For all you old ice dogs out there, the hockey office is kicking around the idea of an over-40 league. No details yet, but I'm trying to gauge interest. After discussion with Ice Station, the message boards have been reopened with heavy restrictions. Messages must now include a valid email address, where you will receive a confirmation which you must respond to before your message will be released.
Furthermore, these boards will be monitored much more closely. While the majority of posts about games and players and starting new rinks fall well within the bounds of good taste, those containing offcolor messages and those inciting hate will not be tolerated.
As a direct result of this type of posting, the boards were suspended for the past week and 3 people have lost posting privileges permanently. There will be no more warnings regarding this type of behavior; we will simply revoke posting privileges.
