Raptors Notes:
The longball and two-out rallies proved to be the difference in the first match-up this season between the Grasshoppers and the Raptors. Both teams came ready to play and pitchers on both sides were throwing heat.

The Raptors struck first in the opening frame with a long homerun by Max R. The Raptors continued to mount 2-out rallies on their way to scoring 3 runs in each of the next three innings. Sam D's HR in the 2nd inning added another three runs and the Raptors added three in each of the next two innings. Crispin S (3-4) and Will B (2-2) anchored the offense for the Raptors.

The highlight of the game was 4 perfect throws in a row from catcher Sam D to stop a stealing Grasshopper and forcing him back to first.

In the 4th, the Grasshoppers launched a gritty comeback, scoring 4, but the comeback was cut short when time expired.

Game Ball went to Max R for being the catalyst on offense and also on defense with his pitching.

Crispin presented the team pin to Sam D for his catching and throws behind the plate, as well as his HR and triple at the plate.
