| Team Summaries | River Dogs Notes: A great, sunny morning for baseball and the start of the season. The River Dogs jumped out to an early 9-4 lead behind solid pitching by Matteo B and Alistair M's leadoff triple (the team's first). A back and forth game ensued, with the visitors taking the lead in 4th riding Anders P's gutty performance on the mound and big hits by Joaquin S and Alex H. The home team rallied late, but came up short, leaving the bases loaded... All in all a fun and game. Good sportsmanship demonstrated by both teams and staffs. And a big thanks goes out to Volcanoes' dad Chris Solis for stepping in and doing last-minute pinch hitting as our sole umpire, and calling a solid game. Volcanoes Notes: |
