Despite a little rain, a great setting for a playoff lacrosse game at Columbia River High School.

The game opened with good energy as both teams looked focused. King's Way opened in a zone defense but after a few minutes adjusting, Issaquah broke the ice as Matt O'Neill found Michael Hatcher in a seem. Issaquah maintained control of the quarter but had trouble getting good looks as the Kinghts did a good job of mixing it up on defense switching from zone to man and back. King's Way would then capitalize on a chance of it's own and tie the game with two minutes left in the quarter. Issaquah maintaned composure and took the lead right back as Jake Fritz found th net with 18 seconds left.

King's Way opened the 2nd quarter in man and Kevin Powers immediately scored on a sweep. A few minutes later Fritz found Duncan Hamilton on a high curl in the slot and Hamilton put a high bounce into the far corner. The Knights abruptly aborted the man to man back into their zone and again Issaquah struggled to be patient and find the good look, instead settling for savable shots and the Knight's Max Zandstra was up to the task. It felt like Issaquah should have owned a bigger lead but with the Knights still in it they fought back with two straight goals inside the last four minutes of the half to make it a 4-3 ball game. Issaquah took back momentum though as Matt O'Neill ripped an absolute laser to the top corner with just 7 seconds left in the half.

The third corner was all Issaquah and proved the difference in the game. It started with a Powers laser on man-up. Pennington, Fritz, Director and O'Neill would all find the net over the next 10 minutes as Issaquah finally broke down the zone.

Issaquah depth wore down the Knights and the purple and gold continued to pull away early in the 4th as the lead grew to 13-3 with 7 minutes to play. A late man-up goal from King's Way made for the final score.

For the second game in a row, sophomore, Austin Richert, flew around winning groundballs and provided some much needed passion and physical play in the defensive midfield.

King's Way is a class act providing a great atmosphere for lacrosse and an amazing post-game spread. Only look forward to seeing the continued growth of the game in the greater Vancouver area.
