| Team Summaries | Curtis Notes: Curtis - 4-3-8-1 (16) Vashon - 1-0-1-2 (4) 1st Quarter: Vashon started out winning the first face off and controlling the ball on offense for the first 3 minutes. After a good safe by Homeyer, Curtis got the ball into the offensive end and tallied the first by Riley Moody with a great feed from Dillon Cavanagh. Colby Carr put his first of 5 2 minutes latter to put Curtis up 2 - 0. Vashon's Gregor Davidheiser tallied the first of 3 2 minutes after keeping the score close and showing that he is a force in the open field. After a lot of transition ball back and forth, Curtis called a timeout and settled the offense down finishing the quarter with 2 goals in the last 1:40 by Taylor Dean putting up his first of 4. Quinn Moody finished the quarter with his first of 2. Curtis 4 - Vashon 1 2nd Quarter: The second was a quarter of transition with out a lot of good shots from either team. Colby Carr made a great open field dodge to score the first of the quarter at the 7:13 mark. After the second time out for Curtis to settle the offense down with 2 minutes in the quarter, Taylor Dean and Colby Carr each put up another in the last two minutes. Curtis 7 - Vashon 1 3rd Quarter: Curtis came out of the locker room warmed up and ready to play the team ball that they have shown in the early part of the season. Scoring 8 in the quarter to take control of the game. Alex Anderson made a great take away in the defensive end and ran the entire field to score at the 8:28 mark. The Dean, Carr and Moody show dominated the quarter with Taylor Dean putting up 3, Brandon Dean 2, Quinn Moody 1 with 2 Assists and Colby Carr putting up 4. Vashon's Luke Homdree put in the loan goal for Vashon assisted by Gregor Davidheiser. Curtis 15 - Vashon 2 4th Quarter: Curtis started the fourth with a face off win and a goal by Freshman Ryder Choate in his first Varsity game at the 11:03 mark. The would be the last of the Curtis scoring for the game. With a running clock the entire quarter, Curtis was unsettled in the offense and made a couple of not so smart penalties. Gregor Davidheiser put two in showing that Vashon never quits. Austin Franks played an outstanding game in the defensive end for Vashon. Mitchell Homeyer the WA US Lacrosse Player of the week played another strong game in the pipes saving 10 and giving up only 4. Brandon Dean and Carson Stewart for Curtis both did a great job on the face off for Curtis. It is always a great time and a lot of fun playing Vashon as all the kids are great friends.
