Team Summaries | Snohomish Notes: Scoring Summary Northshore: Bowen Hadley (4 goals), Taylor Wisman (2 goals, 6 assists), Foster Wisman (2 goals, 2 assists), Robert DeLisle (2 goals, 1 assist), Scott Barclay (2 goals), Zachary Verbeck (1 goal), Jordan Murphy (1 goal). Stuart Dransfield (9 saves). Snohomish: Hund (3 goals), McAlister (2 goals, 1 Assist), Jones (2 goals, 1 Assist), Anderson (2 goals), Pendergast (1 goal, 2 Assists), Wirtz (1 goal). Danielson (5 saves). An upsetting loss for Snohomish after jumping out of the gates really well. With 6 different players finding the back of the net, before a single player had a repeat goal. The Panther's have found new life in their teammates, sharing the ball, and relying on the sticks, and teammates more than year's past. The Panther's struggled with EMO/MDD, but managed to control themselves, only serving 4 penalties, and got some experienced looks at EMO, with 14 opportunities, which, hats off to Northshores MDD unit to kill the majority of those opporuntunities. The Panthers had great success at the face-off X, taking 56% of the faces, but came up a little short at the end of the game when Northshore stepped it up, and won possession of some crucial draws. Defense for the Panther's was impressive, and steadfast late in the game to keep Snohomish in the game, by shutting out Northshore for the last frame. Even after the result of a tragic injury to teammate, Michael Woods; who while sliding to a Northshore player diving into the cylinder, had that diving player's shoulder break both bones in his left shin. The Panthers defense stood tall, pressured the ball, and denied Northshore a clean look at the goal. It is a spirited rivalry, and each team had it's opportunity to take the game and run away with it, but as it turned out in the end Northshore came out on top with a final tally of 14-11. The Snohomish lacrosse community would thank Coach Wisman, and the entire Northshore Lacrosse team, for agreeing to travel up to Snohomish for this early season game. We appreciate Northshore prayers and concerns for Michael Woods and his family. He did require surgery, which went well and he is currently recovering up in Everett. His family has conveyed their appreciation for everything everyone has done for Michael and them. He will have a long recovery with months of rehab and physical therapy, but Michael has already assured me he will be looking forward to returning for his Senior year to face off against Northshore next year, 'if mom and dad will let me!' We would all like to wish Northshore the best of luck this year as they have moved up to DI. Good Luck Gentlemen Northshore Notes: |
