Snohomish was honored to host conference rival Remond Lacrosse Club at Glacier Peak High School, for what was a breath taking view. With the clouds non-existant, the Cascade mountains in the distance created a backdrop that was perfectly suited for the beautiful athletic event that about to take place.

Snohomish would be the first squad to make the net move, as Steranka, served up the assists for Hund who got the goal at 10:37. Redmond's defenseman/face-off specialists, Shewey,S was the answer for Redmond, on how to handle Snohomish face-off guru, Wirtz, which was what created the result of Redmond's first goal, as Shewey,S would push to face-off, and the fastbreak, but a breakdown in transition defense of Snohomish allowed the long pole to come in uncontested and rip a shot that stuck just under the cross bar, to tie up the game just 7 seconds after Snohomish took the lead. Just under 3 minutes, the Panthers would retake the lead as Hund scored, to end the 1st quarter with the Panthers taking the 2-1 lead into the break.

In the second quarter, Redmond's defense stepeed up and gave Snohomish a little taste of their own medicine by shutting them out for entire 12 minutes. Snohomish defense as played stingy as well only allowing one goal, by Dougherty assisted by Bernstien, as that would be the only goal scored for the rest of the half, and both teams go into half time tied at 2-2.

In the 3rd quarter the defenses would both continue to play hard and deny any easy scoring opportunities. Each team scored once in the 3rd, to keep the game even at 3-3. The first to score in the 3rd frame was Snohomish, as the Steranka-Hund duo hooked up again for Hund to stick it in the back of the net, at 10:52, allowing the Panther to take the lead for the 3rd time of the game. Redmond stayed true to form and fought hard to tie up the score, at 6:26, when Berstein,J was able to get a tally in the books.

Down to the 4th quarter, and Snohomish would stick to the status quo, as they were first to find the back of net, as Wirtz would score unassisted at 10:52, 4-3 Panthers. 55 seconds later, Remond would answer the call, as MacDonald would score the goal at 9:57, and he got the helper from McDonough. The Panther's would continue to push the envelope, when at 3:15 Anderson would once again take Snohomish into the lead unassisted. With 3:15 left Snohomish went into time killing mode, and was successful at achieving it, almost. With just under a minute in the game, a errand pass went wide for the Panthers and Redmond was able to clear the ball, call the time out. 50 seconds remain in the game, Redmond sends out there best offense and Snohomish sends their best defesnse out to see what happens. With 35 seconds, remaining in the game Dougherty takes a 17 yards shot catching Snohomish defense and goalie off guard, and sticks it in the bottom left corner, tying up the game at 5-5.

Into OT we go again. On the pursuing face-off Snohomish is able to win the draw, and settle into their offensive end, but once again, they throw the ball away with another unforced error. Redmond sets up the clear, and after a dropped pass Snohomish is able to ride and retain possession of the ball, but as they are pushing the transition, drop the ball, and Redmonds goalie is able to field the ground ball and take off up the field, being chased buy Hund, both player run over midfield, and both teams go off-sides, but due to a missing official, the solo official only see's the Panther's off-sides and makes the call. The Panthers man-down unit was able to kill the penalty, clear the ball, and once again for the 3rd time in OT, the Panthers throw the ball away out the sideline near the restraining box. Redmond is able to find the overfield pass on the next whistle, and push transition, once again, 4 passes and a one on one with the Panthers keeper again. Redmond wins in OT, and Snohomish suffers it's 2nd OT lose in a row.

Danielson for the Panther's player out of his mind, logging 16 saves, and the stat book only has 3 saves for Redmond's netminder, which was all he needed to make in order to pull out the W.

Great game to Redmond and best of luck to them as they progress through the seaons, and we are circling the 9th of May on our calendars looking forward to the rematch.
