Issaquah scored first, but Seattle Prep then controlled most of the 20 minutes. After Andrew Bjorkman's 2nd goal, the Panthers had a 4-2 lead midway through the 2nd quarter. But, with under 2:30 left in the half Issaquah scored 4 goals in less than a minute to swing the momentum and take the lead for good. It started with an unassisted man-up tally from David Campi. Travis Wright won the ensuing face-off and pushed a quick break. Campi found Nick Yaap for the tie. Wright did it again and this time Campi finished himself. After another face-off win, Issaquah moved the ball and Yaap found Alex Bates whose lefty crank someone floated in. 6-4 Issaquah at half.
Prep scored first in the 3rd quarter, but Issaquah closed the quarter with another 3 goal run to essentially put the game out of reach. Teams traded goals in a very sloppy 4th quarter. Garrett Johnson made 12 saves in the win.
A somewhat ugly win, but this is playoff time and the bottomline is survive and advance. Issaquah did just that.
