First Practices and games

	Practices: Starting next week (sort of see below) Location: Chabot Elementary School (6686 Chabot Road, Oakland), Rockridge/Claremont section of Oakland. Follow Broadway north to intersection of Highway 24. Do not enter highway; go straight under highway to Chabot Road. Turn right. The field is located adjacent to Chabot Elementary School. Day of Week: Wednesdays Time: 5pm-6pm until day lights savings time starts (so through Wednesday March 8th) 5:30-6:30 after day light saving time starts (so starting Wednesday March 15th) Practices are supposed to start next week Wednesday Feb 22nd. Which seems like very short notice. I would hate it if a kid feels left out because they can’t make the first practice so this coming Wednesday 2/22 will be “spring training practice”, and we will consider practice on Wednesday March 1st the First Practice. What players should bring to practice: • Comfortable shoes (cleats no required) • Glove (let me know if you do not have one yet – I have an extra) • Small snack, water bottle • Completely Optional (and probably not necessary right now): o Helmet o Bat Please be on time for drop off and pick up. Game Schedule: The first game is Sunday March 5th, 1pm also at Chabot All games will be at Chabot Attached is the full schedule Opening Day/Picture Day: Sunday Feb 26th, 10am~noon. I have not seen details but at the new parents meeting it sounded like this would be a fun time with food. Team Meeting: Sunday Feb 26th , 12:30pm, just following the opening day festivities. Location: Red Boy Pizza, 4100 Redwood Road. It’s sort of tucked away toward the back and upper level of this mini shopping center. I will send out an evite so as to keep track of who is attending. Please also tell me in response if you are planning on making this. GM: We have a general manager. My lovely sister Sarah Colton offered to do this – her son Caleb is on the team. But I am sure she would welcome help if someone is so interested Coaches: I had a couple of nibbles – if you can help with coaching please let me know. Seriously no experience required. Would be great to have at least 2-3 more in addition to myself and Joey. That will also allow us flexibility to schedule things so not everyone is needed every practice.
