Will wonders never cease? Finally, a beautiful warm sunny evening for lacrosse, right on time for the playoffs. Whatcom started very quickly. Their opening goal by Jona Mannering happened in 16 seconds. The teams traded goals with the first quarter ending in a 3 – 3 tie. In the second quarter brothers Bernstein started rolling with assists. Cody Bernstein found Ben Anderson for 3 second quarter goals. Whatcom goalie Kurtis Mc Fadden had a number of great saves, keeping the Warriors close. Halftime score LW 9, Whatcom 5. The third quarter saw the Kangs settle into a groove, scoring 6 goals to Whatcom’s 1. The scoring in the fourth quarter faded with the setting sun. LW once again had many players share in the scoring. Nine Kangs scored on a total of nine assists. Jake Bernstein had a balanced 3 goals and 3 assists. Kudos to Whatcom for a well played game. They played with heart and hustle.
