Loss (1 - 5) at Curtis View
Date: 5/18/2002 2:15p
Location: Mercer Island HS
League Summary:
Division 3
Home Notes:
Great game Viks! The Denfence shut down Issy's attack, shuting down John Harty! Mid lines did a great job on face off and ball movement. Attack nice game. Thanks to the Head Coach Jamie Gregerson for all the help during the season. Also a BIG thanks to all the fans who came to are games and supported us on are 12-0 seanson!
Away Notes:
Issaquah has nothing to be ashamed of as the boys played their hearts out. Best defensive performance of the year! Zach Grote played huge with 14 saves and even managed a couple shots himself. Ben Cohen also finished his career with his peak performance. He helped shut Tom Gibbon down to a single goal. Gibbon hadn't scored less than 3 all year. Collectively, Curtis hadn't scored less than 12 all year.

The score was 2-0 at halftime. Issaquah was held without a shot 1st quarter and had trouble finding some offensive rhythm. Once they did, they just couldn't finish.

Frans Leenstra scored early in the 3rd to pull Issaquah to within 1. Curtis won the ensuing face and scored right away to jump back up by 2. Score stayed 3-1 until mid 4th and then the Vikings capitalized on a loose ball to go up 4-1. 5-1 final as Gibbon scored late.

Grote and Cohen will be missed, but Issaquah returns everyone else and looks forward to another run in 2003!

Curtis record: 12-0-0
