Home Notes:
The Owls got on the board first with two goals, one from #16 Will Burgett and one from #3 George Dolack, assisted by #10 Devon Schmidt. Northshore answered with individual efforts, one by Taylor Wisman and one by brother Foster Wisman. Northshore took the lead and kept it on a goal by Mitch Langdon on a feed from Foster Wisman. A loose ball crash at mid-field escalated to some extra pushing, resulting in an Overlake ejection and 2-minute non-releasable. Northshore’s Wismans converted twice on the EMO to get out to a 5-2 lead. Overlake came back with two from Dolack and Schmidt. A big Overlake D-man was glued to Northshore attack Bowen Hadley all night, but Bowen managed to end the first quarter with a feed to Jake Dossett, to end the first quarter at 6-4.

At 30 seconds into the 2nd quarter, Bowen broke free to dish one to Taylor Wisman for a score. More scoring from Scott Barclay, Taylor and Foster, with a couple from Overlake’s Dolack and Michael Nelson, ending the first half 9-6 in favor of Northshore. Overlake had fired 21 shots, of which 5 went wide of the goal and 6 got in, but Stuart Dransfield saved 11. Northshore was taking more quality shots, only 13 total, of which 9 went in 2 went wide and 2 were saved by tender Chap Grubb.

The third period saw 2 goals from Northshore’s Taylor Wisman, and none for Overlake.

The 4th period had goals from Northshore’s Bowen Hadley, Jake Dossett, and Foster Wisman, with one answer from Overlake’s Scout Tweedie-Yates.

Defense was strong tonight, with outstanding performances from Northshore’s Chris Lee and Freshman Miles Sokol, each with 4 ground balls. Stuart Dransfield ended up with 73.1% save percentage.

Overlake’s #9 Colin Enderlein was tough on face-offs all night long, leading Overlake to win 16 out of 23.

Thanks for a great game Overlake
