King's Way 5-3-0-1- 9
Issaquah 3-2-0-3- 8

Perfection is a hard thing to obtain and Issaquah learned that the hard way tonight. King's Way came to play and dominated time of possession in the first half, winning the groundball war 2:1 and blitzing to an 8-5 halftime lead.

Issaquah's defense put the clamps on in the second half and nearly pitched a shutout. Finally finding some fire, the group began to win some groundballs and push the time of possession in Issaquah's favor but they couldn't find the nets.

In the 4th quarter, with an extra sense of urgency, 3 goals in a 4 min span tied the game at 8. Teams traded possessions and chances the next 4 minutes and with under 2 min it was Issaquah's turn. King's Way defense stood tall and won the ball back for the Knights. After a timeout they settled in,dodged hard, were patient and made the extra pass finishing on the doorstep with just 30 seconds to play.

Issaquah won the ensuing faceoff and a timeout with 15 seconds left gave them a final chance to tie but it wasn't meant to be. 19-1;the one loss stings and marks the end of the 2012 campaign for Issaquah as they failed to reach at least the semis for the first time since 2007.

Congratulations to King's Way on a first ever semi-final appearance and best of luck the rest of the way.
