Hats off to Mercer Island for a great game. The battle ensued and everyone gave all they had. Both teams came to fight and did themselves and their coaches proud. It has been a pleasure playing against you this year. Our battles have brought out the best in all our players. Good luck the rest of the way.

To my Seniors:
You will be missed.

Andy Lehr - You are by far one of the best young men that I have ever had the privilege to coach. You made yourself into a left handed player to fill a spot and now even you don’t know what handed you are. All the best at Westminster. I know you will do well and do the Northwest and Curtis Alumni proud in both academics and lacrosse. I have learned more from you about life and friendship than I have taught you about lacrosse. You will forever be the 4 tenets of Curtis Lacrosse. Character – Poise – Sportsmanship – Hustle.

Cal Dyer - Wow what a great athlete you are. You and Andy are my first 4 year Varsity seniors and it has been a great journey. Your heart and competitive spirit are second to none. I wish you all the best in the future and hope you continue to play lacrosse while at Central. Thank you for always bringing your heart and soul. You are truly the definition of Competitive Spirit.

Bert Michelson - You have grown so much since the first year I worked with you, and I am not talking about in height, but in stature. You know how to slide in the shooting lane. If they kept save stats for defensemen, you would have the best save percentage in the country. I will miss your calming personality. I wish you all the best at Arizona.

Bryce Sheldon - You my friend are a face-off machine. You are such a strong-minded individual that when challenged proves that he can do it. That gave you the strength to win over 75% of your face-offs this year and that is better than the top face-off specialist in the country. All the best at Gonzaga.

Mike Hodge – You and I have had our ups and downs over the years, but I could not be happier that you chose to come back and play this year. I believe you found yourself at long stick middie. Thank you for challenging me as a person and a coach to grow and change. I wish you all the best in the future. Good luck in Trade School. I know that you will continue to light up the world with your humor and personality.

Timmy Nigh - It was a pleasure having you on the field again this year. This is the first year that you have stayed healthy the entire year and it made my job easier having you on the field. You bring an attitude and athleticism that is fun to have around. If you were able to play like this with a bad knee and only playing some of the past four years, it makes me sad that you were not healthy all four years.

To the entire team:
Well done and thank you.
