California Bears of San Ramon
	The California Bears of San Ramon have been serving the San Ramon Valley since 1989 by providing a venue for youth and their families to participate, learn, and grow through the youth football experience. A Board of Directors that includes parents and concerned community leaders governs the organization. As a member of the Diablo Valley Youth Football Conference, the California Bear's organization provides a positive environment for youth to participate in football and cheerleading while stressing good citizenship and academics. The Football Teams: Limited by Diablo Valley Youth Football Conference (DVYFC) League Rules. There are five football teams. Age and Weight Limits are as follows: Scout Ages 7-9 Weight 45-90 lbs Maximum of four – 9 year old players Jr. Pee Wee Ages 8-10 Weight 60-105 lbs All 9 year old players begin at this level (may move four players to Scout level – decision is based on coach’s recommendation) Pee Wee Ages 9-11 Weight 75-120 lbs **Older Lighters 12 yrs old 75-95 lbs – Maximum of four players per team Jr. Midgets Ages 10-12 Weight 85-135 lbs **Older Lighters 13 yrs old 85-115 lbs – Maximum of four players per team Midgets Ages 11-14 Weight 105-160 lbs Maximum of ten – 14 year old players **Older Lighters are by definition players that are in the age and weight requirement listed. There is a maximum of four players per team (Pee Wee and Jr. Midget level only) and the players are chosen by the coaching staff. The Cheer Teams: Possibility of five cheer squads. We will have a mascot squad if we have 10 or more girls, otherwise we will have 8 mascots (2 for each team). Age limits are as follows: Mascots Ages 5-8 Jr. Pee Wee Ages 8-10 Pee Wee Ages 9-11 Jr. Midgets Ages 10-12 Midgets Ages 11-14
