Lakeside vs. Vashon today symbolized why lacrosse is such a fast-growing sport in the United States and certainly Washington. It was a thriller, and both teams played the game as it's meant to be played.
The game stayed close to the end. Lakeside tied it on a quick clear and score with a minute and 38 seconds to play. Vashon won the subsequent face-off, and with 20 seconds to play, Nick Wilks was able to put a shot in goal as he fell to the ground to put Vashon ahead for the win, 8-7.
Thanks to Lakeside for making the trip to Vashon. As has been our experience each time we've played Lakeside over the past 14 years, Lakeside is a class act.
