The SOLL Regular Season Champion Astros outlasted the SOLL Playoff Champion Stars in extra innings 11-10 in a very tightly contested game. The Stars came out swinging racking up eight hits and six runs in the first inning. The Astros answered back and after three full innings it was 7-7 game. The Astros took the lead in the fourth with a clutch hit off the bat of Jack H. The Stars returned the favor with big hit from Davey D. who eventually stole home to tie the score once again 10-10. The Stars loaded the bases with one out in the top of the sixth and the momentum was on their side. Peter B. came up big to regain the momentum by striking out the fourth and fifth batters in the Stars lineup. Bottom of the sixth the Astros have runners at second and third with no outs and the party is just beginning.Stars Pitcher Jake H., with the heart of a champion, puts an end to the party with a strikeout, pop-up to second and a grounder to second to shutdown the Astros third, fourth and fifth batters in the lineup. With the sun down in the bottom of the seventh, Galen E. punches one through the infield to get things going. Emigh steals second, advances to third on a fielder's choice and scores the winning run on an overthrow at third that rolls out of play.
