Away Notes:
In a display of great little league playoff competition, this closely fought game went down to the final out of the game. But in the end the young upstart Angels were defeated by the much more experienced Padres.

The Padres started the game by loading the bases in the first inning but pitcher Jordan E. coaxed a pop up out to end the threat. In the 3rd inning, The Angels scored 3 runs and had the bases loaded when Cody P. got a 3rd call strike to end the threat.

The Padres wasted no time in tying the score in the bottom of the third. In the 4th the Padres loaded the bases with no outs, but pitcher Jimmy H. got out unscathed striking out 2 and a nice force play from 3rd baseman Noah N. to catcher Isaac Y. sandwiched in between.

In the 5th the Angels pushed across the go ahead run. The Padres started the bottom of the 6th down by one run. The Angels inexperience came into play with a couple fielding miscues to load the bases. Jeremy B. stole home to tie the score and Matt L. dropped a blooper in front of a hard charging right fielder to plate 2 runs and push the Padres ahead.

The Angels had no intentions of this season ending just yet. They loaded the bases with one out but could not push across the runs they needed. The Padres were victorious but knew they had been taken to the limit.

The Angels Gary R.O. went 4 for 4 in the game driving in 2 runs. Arafat A. made a great play at second base.

All in all a very rewarding inaugural season for the Angels. Next year with more experience they should be able to win the close games that eluded them this year.
