Away Notes:
Good ball game, but a heartbreaker for Issaquah in the end.

Issaquah came out patient and poised. Nick Tierney started things off dipping, ducking and dodging a few defenders to make it 1-0. Jon Matusiefsky made it 2-0 on a hard drive from 'X'. Eastside took a few early penalties and Matt Robson finished on the crease man-up to put Issaquah up 3-0 at the end of 1.

Eastside got on the board in the 2nd, but Issaquah answerd near the close of the half as Chris Hutchinson ripped a shot upper corner on another man-up. Issaquah lead 4-1 at half.

The 3rd quarter proved to be a huge difference as Eastside came out hungry to get back in it. Issaquah took some penalties and threw in some mental lapses. Ian Lee scored on a nifty whirly-bird assist from Greg Bearson to tie things at 4-4. Issaquah responded and John Harty found a cutting Nick Tierney to put Issaquah back up. However, Greg Bearson closed the 3rd quarter scoring as Eastside tied it up on a man-up of their own. 5-5 into the 4th.

Bearson scored early in the 4th to give Eastside its first lead. Doug Rowe then added another about half way through the quarter and Issaquah seemed to be done. But with under 4 minutes to play Issaquah put on a surge. They finally tallied with 2:07 left as John Harty stuck one coming from behind the cage.

Issaquah looked to have a fast break a minute later, but pass got knocked down and Eastside got the ball back. Eastside called timeout with 22 seconds left and the ball in their offensive box. Issaquah immediately doubled and Mike Gerrard knocked down an attempted pass, Hutchinson scooped it up and fired it up field. John Harty won the gb and Issaquah called timeout with 9 seconds left.

Chris Hutchinson drove from the top, fought through a check and fed Harty on the crease. Harty went low to handle it and got a shot off, but Erik Yaap made a huge save with 1 second left and the horn sounded.

Dustin Cramer had an outstanding game defensively holding Jack Andrews to 1 goal.

Congrats to the Ravens.
