Home Notes:
The Reds continued to swing a hot bat and unloaded on the Missions collecting 11 hits on their way to a 15-8 victory. After falling behind 2-0 in the top of the first, the Reds answered with an 8 run rally in the bottom of the first and never looked back. The Reds offense was led by hot hitting Lucas F. and Jon C. who each collected 3 hits. But that wasn't all as Andrew C. clobbered the ball a couple times, Ben Z. ripped a few singles, and Keith H. crawled out of his sick bed to collect a big hit and provide solid support for the rallying Reds. The Pitching of Lucas F. and Kevin R. was solid and never in question except for a few misplayed balls by an otherwise stellar defensive squad. When an out was needed, dependable 2nd baseman, 'johnny on the spot', made 5 defensive put-outs to squelch any thoughts of a Mission comeback.
It's on to the Championship game Wednesday night. The Reds will have their hands full when they meet a very tough Rockies squad. Go Reds!!
