So much for the 140+ straight days of sun in Arizona. Issaquah brought the rain with them and came out storming in the first quarter.
Led by David Campi's 2g,1a and Cale Frye's 2g, Issaquah jumped all over the Broncos to stake claim to a 5-0 lead. Travis Wright controlled the face-offs with the help of Andrew Morris on the wings. Wright finished with 9 groundballs in addition to his 1g,1a.
After the first quarter, game got sloppy and became a defensive struggle. Issaquah, and in particular Mason Smith, did an excellent job of shutting down Brophy's Donny McCunniff.
Garrett Johnson made 7 saves in the win.
