Hello Hart Indians, congrats on a great season, and a fantastic finish in the playoffs. You guys deserved the championship, all of you. I could not ask you to play any different in that championship game. It was a pleasure coaching all of you and for the seniors I pray that only good things happen to you from here on out. You guys went out with a bang and should be very proud of yourselves. For the returning players it is time to start working towards your future travel hockey teams. Remember ice time will make or break you. You need to get as much ice time as you possibly can. Hence Wedensday night Clinic at Ice Station. Also remember that Ice station is going to have a very good tier program and you all need to try out for them. I think it will be a great season for you all with everything that is going on with That tier program. For the young future stars the same thing applies to you get some ice time. And I am looking forward to coaching you next season. On another note I will be having a team party. I hope you can all make it. I will let you know the time and place in a few days. Once again great season!!!

Congratulations to the Hart Indians on their High School Championship. You guys played well. We gave you a good battle, but in the end you took the victory. Thanks to all the teams for a great season and good luck to all the graduating seniors. Remember that COC has a very good program going on. We will see all the returning players when the league starts up again next year.

Just a note to everyone who played, coached and cheered....
THANK YOU. every one out there has made my "rookie season" the best one ever. i honestly respect each and every person on that ice surface, and appreciate the respect that you have shown me. it makes me sad to say that this season is over, and that a lot of the players are leaving for good. (just to let all the seniors know, you are going to be missed.)good luck to everyone left in the playoffs, and great season too all. see you next year!

luv,
Nicole Morgan

Tonight (Thursday, May 22) on SCV Public Access, Channel 78, the Saugus vs Canyon game will be aired at 6:30 pm. Dave Caldwell does a fine job of filming and adding commentary to these televised games. Definitely worth watching!

My understanding is that the head coach for the high school teams must be a teacher at that school. It's doubtful that these teachers are seasoned coaches, however, the two you mentioned below have been the team coaches for their schools since the league was formed and good, bad or otherwise, have offered these kids an opportunity to play hockey for their high school. In the Centurions case, Coach Williams has done a terrific job keeping the team going for Saugus and has brought on a prep school coach as well. My hat goes off to these teachers that have given their time to support high school hockey in our area.

I saw all the games on monday and looking at the stats and goalie stats i noticed an error. Empty net goals don't count against the goalie as a shot or a goal against. I know the highlanders had an empty net goal scored against them and there might of been one more. I don't believe it is fair to count goals against goalies when they are pulled from the net, the is why there is usually an ECG category, empty net goals.
