|Description||This high energy class challenges students with choreography while making hip hop fun. The class begins with a set warm-up to increase blood flow, gain knowledge of basic steps and body alignment, and to increase strength and flexibility. We then move into a dynamic routine which is continuously broken down throughout the class. As class winds down, we wrap up with a cool down and stretching. This class is taught so all levels of dance abilities can relate and enjoy the experience. Performance techniques and tips on the most effective ways to engage an audience are also integrated with the class curriculum. Students will learn fresh techniques involving the most current dance trends and popular hip-hop music to ensure the experience makes a positive impact in their lives.
This class is taught by Momo Lebeau -- a performer throughout the Bay Area and dance instructor at the popular New Style Motherlode dance studio in Oakland. Momo was also selected for The Vegas Week in “So You Think You Can Dance” (Season 8), was selected to join the cast of Cirque de Soleil, “Michael Jackson Immortal Tour” (2012 Season), and was also selected as an understudy dancer for Lady Gaga.
