On-Line Advanced Registration:
Advanced registration ensures that we have your proper contact information and that we can provide that information to the appropriate coaches at tryouts. You will also receive automatic updates and easy check in on tryout day.

Tryout Process:
We will assign a tryout number for each player for tryouts. The coaches will be given a list of all players and their tryout number. Players will retain their tryout number throughout the duration of the tryout process.

Notification:
Players must attend at least one tryout to receive an offer from a coach for a NBEFC team. Coaches will not make offers until after the first tryout, and many will not make offers until after final tryout. All offers will be made by the Coach in writing, by phone and likely via electronic mail.

All players who participate in a tryout session will be contacted by the Club.

Schedule:
Players in the U9 to U14 age groups will begin training in mid-March and continue through January of the following year. For players in our older age groups, training will begin in May.

Parent and Player Responsibilities:
NBEFC requires that all parents fulfill their financial obligations, provide volunteer service to the Club and exhibit proper side-line behavior throughout the season. Failure to do any of these may result in a request to leave the Club. All parents must volunteer for a team job and provide up to 8 hours of volunteer time throughout the year.

NBEFC parents and players will behave appropriately at all times. Appropriate behavior means being positive and supportive of your team (coach, team manager, other parents and players) and soccer officials throughout the season.

Playing Up Policy:
NorthBay Elite FC has recently proposed a Play-Up Policy. The policy will be brought before the Board of Directors for approval on January 19, 2011. If adopted, the policy will be published on our website.

The proposed policy would establish the following process for tryouts:
All players will tryout with their age-appropriate age group each year. Play-up decisions are evaluated after tryouts are complete. This allows the club to see the number of potential players at each age level.

The Director of Coaching shall decide (1 person).
Both coaches must be involved in the review. It is desirable, but not required, that both coaches agree.
The Director of Coaching shall inform the parents to obtain approval. This communication needs to include what position(s) the player can expect to play during the season.
The Executive Board must review and approve each play-up decision to ensure that it is aligned with our Club principles.

U16 8/1/95 -7/31/96
