Sting Notes: No notesSun Notes: Issues with referees • The refs did not know the rules and did not call violations. 1. The defense constantly guarded my players above the top of the key extended and scored several points by stealing the ball there. 2. Instructing the defense on both teams not to guard in the back court and to drop back. 3. Many obvious fouls were not called. 4. Ensuring both teams were in a person to person defense (double teaming was not called)
Issues with spectators List any issues: None
Injuries List any Injuries: Carryl Alston, bruised hip after falling
Miscellaneous Issues /Complaints/Compliments List any thing else you want to say The opposing coach seemed to have a problem with me in that he felt #35 (Carryl Alston) was double teaming and he yelled at me across the scorers table. I did not know what he was referring to at first and asked him repeatedly what he was talking about. After the game, I asked him what that was about and he said we would talk about it later but we did not. I believe his frustration was the same as mine, that if #35 was double teaming, the refs should have called it. I have taught my players that they are allowed to double team in the lane, which I believe # 35 was doing.
