After being blown away in their last game by the Diamondbacks, the Islanders rebounded well with good pitching and hitting to defeat the Stars 14-8. AronK and MichaelT pitched three strong innings each. The Islanders knocked out 14 hits with JoshuaF going four for four with one triple to boost his average above 700 for the season. SamG threw out a base runner at third, slid under a tag at home to score and banged out two hits. TomG had 3 hits in his second game back from a broken arm and Jasper led off for the first time this year and had two hits. Scott had a great relay throw from left field. The Stars continued their hot hitting with doubles by EricJ(2), JoshuaJ and BrettH. |
