| Game Summary | NOLL 22 SOLL 18 On this special Father's day classic, the All-Stars from NOLL and SOLL put on a show of offense that went back and forth through out the nine inning game. Early on it looked to be a defensive contest as SOLL starting pitchers, Luke B. and Julian B. and NOLL pitcher Theo Q. kept both teams scoreless through the first two innings of play. In the 3rd NOLL got on board first with two runs thanks to timely hits by Jonathan B., Matt R. and Peter W. Soll quickly hit back with four runs by Sam E., Galen S., Jason V., and Felipe C. NOLL retook the lead with ten runs in the 4th, including a nice hit from Sam P., but once again SOLL roared back with thirteen runs in their next two at bats. By the end of the 5th the score was SOLL 17, NOLL 12. Jonathan B. and Henry Z. took the mound for NOLL in the fifth and 6th respectively and stopped the flood of runs for SOLL. Excellent base running from Gabe M. and Chris C. (who stole home for the 6th time this year) helped to put NOLL ahead for good in the eighth. Ari P., Myles I. and Phil H. added a few insurance runs for NOLL in the 9th, while Vincent B. pitching for NOLL dominated, allowing just one run in the 8th & 9th. |
