Game Summary Monarchs 13 Dragons 9

The Monarchs charged out in the first, scoring twice with Kai H. stealing home. The Dragons countered to score five in the second and three in the fourth inning. The Monarchs' centerfielder Daniel A. made a clutch catch in the outfield on hard line drive in the second inning. Great catches by the Dragons' Matt M. robbed the Monarchs of sure base hits. In the third the Monarchs were losing by 8 to 6. Then the Monarchs' left fielder, Aaron H., threw the runner out at the plate to stop the Dragons' rally and change the momentum of the game. The Dragons would only score one more run.
The Dragons' hard throwing Christian B., with 6 K's and star catcher Jack C. managed to keep the Monarchs at bay until the fifth. The Monarchs erupted to score four in the fifth inning and three in the sixth, with Dan A. scoring for the third time in the game. In the late innings, Kai H., who also crossed the plate three times in the game, stole home again to seal the victory for the Monarchs.
