Game Summary Playing short-handed, the River Cats recorded a strong 14-7 victory over the previously undefeated Monarchs. The River Cats collected 19 hits, and gave up eight. Devin K. escaped a bases-loaded, none out situation in the top of the first by striking out the Monarchs side. An 8 run bottom of the third was the decisive inning in the River Cats victory, sending 13 hitters up.
For the River Cats, Devin K. led the way in pitching with 2 innings, no hits and no runs, and striking out 5. Luke B. gave two excellent innings of relief. The River Cats offense was broadly spread across the lineup, with 19 hits amongst 8 hitters.
