| Game Summary | While this was opening day for the Rainiers, it was the second game of the weekend for the Sugar Kings. Despite the schedule disadvantage the Sugar Kings put out a great effort, but ultimately lost to the Rainiers 12-7. The pitching duo of Cameron W and Andrew B proved to be a tough obstacle to overcome through the first five innings. The Rainiers also had nice fielding, with Ducson Z making a nice pop-fly catch in the third to end the inning. Sam D, Nagi O and Chris C also contributed with nice plays in the outfield. The Rainiers had solid hitting from the middle of the order, Ari P, Zachary S, Luke D and Jasper S. These hits proved crucial because the Sugar Kings roared back in the sixth inning with a two out three run rally. Theo Q finally managed to put the game away for the Rainiers, striking out three batters in the inning. |
