| Team Summaries | Red Mountain Lions Notes: The Lady Lions faced off against a tenacious Dobson Mustangs team. Dobson, having incorporated some players from the now defunct SE Dogs, has met with some early success despite being a brand new program. Saturday was no different. A tough opening half that was basically faught to a standstill kicked off the game. Dobson opened the scoring early and the game stayed at 1-0 for the entire first half. The Lady Lions came out firing to start the second half and managed to get two quick goals within 5 minutes. Dobson, sensing a momentum change called a quick time out and stifled our run. Once the girls started to get back into a groove, a back injury to captain Marci Rodriguez ended up deflating the team's spirit and a comeback after that was not in the cards for the Lady Lions. Sarah Pezzaro was strong in goal, and Senior Middfielder Jane Evans managed to get a hat trick scoring all three goals for the Lions. Standout play from Freshman Erin Norris gave her a handful of breakaway chances to even things up, but she just could not find the back of the net. Final score Lions 3 - Mustangs 5.
