Team Summaries	Hamilton Huskies Notes: No notes Tucson Xtreme Notes: TUCSON TAKES XTREME THUMPING? MAYBE NOT! Willie Nelson sings “On the road again” and the Tucson Xtreme (0-3) head to the Phoenix area for the 2nd consecutive week. The X-Men were the students and the 6th ranked Hamilton Huskies (4-0) were the teachers in a 11-3 loss. Once again, before the hot dogs were completely cooked at the concession stand, the Huskie dogs scored early and took a 4-0 first quarter lead. Hamilton goals by Simon Lopez (1-0), Eric Johnson (1-1), Zack Jenner (2-1) and Matt Cook (2-0) on an assist from Johnson did the damage. Tucson goaltender Ben Kagen (19 saves), with the help from an improved defense kept the score from getting out of control with 6 saves in the quarter. In the second stanza Tucson showed their character demonstrating that they wouldn’t give in when the defense tightened another notch and the offense finally had some possession time. The Xtreme’s first goal came unassisted when Brendan Moore (1-0) let go a rocket on Hamilton starting goalie, Justin Johnson narrowing the score 4-1. That was as close as the X-men would get on this road trip. Before the halftime intermission, the Dogs added to the score when Brandon Crowe (1-0) tallied at 4:07 and with 1:15 left, Vincent Gilmore (1-0) got his name in the scorebook with help from Zack Jenner. As the action began in the 3rd quarter Tucson felt like their long awaited game was finally coming together but the X-Men’s momentum was derailed by penalties and a strong Huskies defense. In the meantime, Jake Casto (6-0) put Hamilton in control with 2 unassisted goals and 2 other unassisted scores by Cook and Matt Kennedy (1-0) ended the 3rd quarter with a 10-1 advantage. The fourth quarter once again proved to be important for the X-Men. In high school lacrosse, a 10 goal lead means the time clock changes from stop time to running time. Although the rule is intended to be fair, no one wants to be in that demeaning position. Tucson’s Captain, Frankie Armenta, who saw limited action due to an injury in last week’s game, took the responsibility and rambled through the defense scoring at the 9:21 mark. That goal and a 10-2 score, although meaningless in the final outcome, diminished the running clock situation. Huskies midfielder Zack Jenner had the lone goal for Hamilton with 3:17 left and Xtreme’s attackman Captain Matt Baum finished out the scoring with 1:28 left. The Tucson Xtreme thanks the Hamilton Huskies for the lesson and wishes them good luck the rest of the way!
