| Game Summary | The Saguaro Sabercats opened their defense of the AYLL title by defeating the Hamilton Huskies Saturday afternoon 9 - 6. Saguaro started strong jumping out to a 5 - 1 lead after one period on goals by Aaron Adams (2-3), Cameron Graham (4-1), and Kyle Angelini (2-1). Both teams traded 2 goals each in the second quarter with Saguaro taking a first half 7 - 3 lead. Saguaro opened the third quarter with two unanswered goals by Andy Horne and Cameron Graham building their lead to 9 - 3. Hamilton played hard the entire game and scored 3 unanswered goals in the fourth quarter. Hamilton was led by middies Matt Kennedy (2-0) and Eric Johnson (2-0), and attack Jake Castro (1-0) and Matt Cook (1-0). Both goalies played well. Hamilton goalie made 18 saves while Sabercat goalie Ike Lundell made 8 saves. |
