Issaquah Notes:

This might have been one of the best ball games in the state this year. Game was a bit closer than final score would indicate.

Issaquah's defensive unit including Dustin Cramer, Mike Gerrard, Mason Smith and goalie Garrett Johnson continue to gel and prove they are one of the best units in the state. Johnson made 11 saves and cleared the ball very well.

Mercer capitalized on several transition opportunities and it proved to be a difference in the end. 2-2 game at half. Issaquah went up 3-2 in the 3rd, but then a string of penalties allowed Mercer to jump back on top 5-3 within about a 3 minute span. Issaquah came back to cut it to 5-4 at the end of the 3rd.

Mercer's defense came up big the 4th. Noah Symington made several saves and again Mercer capitalized in transition to put the game away.

Jon Matusiefsky continues to prove himself as he netted another 3 for Issaquah.
