Wow! Coaches couldn't be prouder...a total team effort! Biggest win to date for a relatively young Issaquah team. This is a special group of guys and they are quickly establishing themselves as a solid program.

Trailing 3-1 at the end of the 1st quarter, Issaquah made some adjustments and just plain battled. Bainbridge led 5-3 midway through the 2nd and then Issaquah took over. A perfectly excuted clear led to the first defensive point of the year as Dustin Cramer found Jon Matusiefsky on the doorstep. That key assist got the ball rolling as Issaquah would jump up 7-5 by half. In total Issaquah went on an 11-0 run from the 2nd deep into the 4th as Bainbridge would not score again until late in the 4th.

Matusiefsky had a brilliant game, calmly handling any and all pressure Bainbridge threw his way. Jon finished with 6 goals, 1 assist. Nick Tierney equaled Matusiefsky with 6 goals, 1 assist of his own. Craigh Cornelius was all over the field pushing the ball from end to end and roaming the midfield with several key bodychecks. Cornelius added 2 goals, 1 assist.

Defensively, Garrett Johnson was stellar in net stopping 11 shots. Cramer and Gerrard were able to contain Bainbridge's big guns on attack limiting Picha and VanderHoek to below their usual point production.
