Team Summaries | Astros Notes: Despite falling behind early, the Astros swarmed the Diamondbacks with multiple hit games from 6 different players. The D'Backs contributed to the Astro offensive attack with some miscues that cost them outs and runs. The final Diamondback threat was snuffed out when Griffin snagged a searing line drive off the bat of DR in right center. Griffin ran a long way to grab the ball that surely would have been extra bases and would have helped ignite the stalled D'Back attack. A perfectly executed squeeze from Geo, and a booming triple from Bryce were among the many offensive highlights for the Astros. As has become the custom, hurlers Bryce, DK, and Spencer were tough, walking only one and striking out 8, allowing no hits after the 3rd inning. Diamondbacks Notes: |
