| Team Summaries | Curtis Notes: Thank you to Mercer Island for traveling to Curtis. 1st Qtr. Curtis did not come out of the gate with any spirit or fight. Mercer as normal came out focused and disciplined in their offense putting in 5 goals in the fist 3 minutes. Curtis settle down a little, but Mercer finished the qtr. with 3 more. Mercer 8 - Curtis 0 2nd Qtr. Curtis finally settled into their game and started playing team defense. Mercer had a 2 minute possession with and excellent shot saved by Game McGhee. Nick Janicki responded with a break out off the shot which Gabe saw and hit him at mid field throwing a dime. Nick pushed the break with a great pass to Javontea who stung the corner for Curtis' first goal 2:22 into the qtr. Curtis then had a long 6 minute plus offensive stance, but unfortunately none of the shots feel. Mercer's offense used the energy of the long strong defensive stance that their D provided and put 3 goals in over the last 2 minutes of the half. Mercer 11 - Curtis 1 3rd Qtr. The 3rd qtr. was a defensive battle with both teams playing strong team defense. Mercer Island put the only goal of the qtr. in with 1 minute left on the clock. Mercer 12 - Curtis 1 4th Qtr. Mercer Island came out firing and put in the first two goals of the qtr. Curtis responded putting in two of their own within 1 minute of each other. Curtis put in the final goal fo the game with 3:42 left on the clock. Mercer 14 - Curtis 4 Thank you to Mercer Island for traveling to Curtis to play. We look forward to playing you again next year.
