A great Tuesday night game for the fans. Hats of to Liberty as they proved to be the definition of 'no quit'. Additionally they gave Issaquah fits at the faceoff x.

Game started innocent enough as Liberty took an early 1-0 lead before Issaquah seemingly got every look they wanted on route to 4 straight and a 4-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. Liberty quickly demonstrated they weren't going to lay down grinding their way back to tie the game at 4 before Issaquah pushed one back. A spectacular play to end the half by freshman, Jack Richards put Issaquah up two with big time momentum into the half. Issaquah carried that momentum to a 9-5 lead in the 3rd and seemingly in control, as Matt Moss contributed his first two goals of the season. Not so fast. Liberty started the rally getting a solo tally from Reilly Larson with just 12 seconds left in the period. Patriots would end up on a 6-1 run from that tally late in the third to take an 11-10 lead with 1:15 left, with the ball and a timeout.

Issaquah came out of the timeout doubling and immediately forced Liberty out of the box. After a timeout of their own, the initial play almost got away from them, but Issaquah recovered and Max Dahlquist scored on a solo run with 30 seconds left to tie it. Liberty won the next faceoff but a huge play from Gaje Gunter to steal the ball and Issaquah called their last time out with 21 seconds left. An almost perfectly executed play had everything but the finish as Issaquah missed with 4 seconds left and game went to OT.

Liberty won the OT faceoff and had a rather long possession that ended with a suspect 'tripping' call to give the Patriots a man-up opportunity. Kolton Maans came up huge with a save, but Issaquah failed to clear and Liberty had a chance in transition that went wide, Issaquah back-up.
Issaquah finally managed to clear and call timeout. Out of the timeout, Liberty stifled the initial look but Gaje Gunter quickly recovered the ball, moved to Humenny who drew a double and moved one more to Dahlquist. Dahlquist redodged, slipping underneath and neatly placed one top shelf from low angle to end it and save the win for Issaquah.
