Emerald Ridge 1-3-1-0- 5
Issaquah 2-2-3-2- 9

A common formula continued for the third straight game as Issaquah started a bit sluggish, fired around much more in the 3rd quarter and took advantage of a few man-up opportunities to push to a win.

Emerald Ridge is a senior laden, physical team with confidence and it showed early. A stingy zone defense to open the game confused Issaquah big time. Emerald Ridge also controlled the faceoffs, winning 15 of 17 leading Issaquah in struggle find true rhythm in the offensive end.

Despite trailing 5-4 early in the 2nd half, the first key adjustment came on faceoffs as the combo of Keagan Galbraith and Nate Holbrook double poling the wings to at least change the pace of play. Nick Dahlquist also brought a physical spark that carried throughout the third quarter.

A big doorstep goal in the 3rd quarter as well as a 4th quarter man-up assist from senior attackman, Cam Huhta, seeing his first action of the season, proved pivotal. Likewise, after missing time to start the season, in his second start, Daniel Davis looked more more comfortable in net as a few key 2nd half saves helped shut the door.

Emerald Ridge Notes:
Emerald Ridge 1-3-1-0: 5
Issaquah 2-2-3-2: 9

Tonight, the ER Jaguars defense came out of the shoot fired up and ready to play! Really throwing the Issaquah offense a curve ball as Issaquah struggled to get a rhythm going. Both offenses struggled a bit in the 1st half as both fought to a 4-4 tie at half. Couple ER misfires on offense could have been a difference maker.
In the 2nd half seems the Jaguars offense took a bit of a nap only getting 1 rock past the Issaquah goalie...and no better in the 4th qtr. For ER too many man-down situations hurt.

Seems both teams were missing some players with injuries, get well soon boys!

Both goalies playing excellent between the pipes tonight, with some highlight reel saves by both Matthew (ER) and Daniel (IHS). Quinn Zilly (ER) and Adam Brands (ER) were money at the faceoff X, nice work boys.

Thanks for hosting us Issaquah...Great game!
