| Team Summaries | Lugnuts Notes: This was a game with a lot of drama to it. The Lugnuts had perhaps their hottest bats of the season, plating 13 runs over four innings that were chockful of solid contact, with Lucas, David, Zach, and Jake leading the way. Meanwhile the team reined in the Hot Rods through solid pitching and defense. Maxie pitched two shutdown innings to start off the game, while EJ gave up only three runs over two strong innings. The Hot Rods were aggressive on the basepaths, but the Lugnuts made two bang-bang plays that stopped them in their tracks. In the first inning, a Hot Rods runner tried to score when a ball trickled off third base, and Maxie as pitcher barehanded it and fired it to David as catcher, who made a swift tag. In the last inning, when a Lugnuts runner tried to steal third, Maxie as catcher rifled the ball to Quinn, who made another excellent tag. In all, a great team effort by the Lugnuts!
