Lugnuts Notes:
It was a rainy-day game for the Lugnuts and the Mudhens, which made for some wet balls, slippery bats, and soggy parents. Two pitchers — Kellen and Maxie — made their debuts for the Lugnuts and handled themselves impressively. Quinn had an excellent shutdown inning as pitcher, helped out by some solid defensive work on the infield. The Lugnuts’ bats came alive in the second and third innings, with EJ knocking the stuffing out of a ball, and Jake, Leo, and Kellen whacking the ball well too. Everyone left the field glad to have played but a little damp and hoping for better weather next time.
