Scrappers Notes:
The Scrappers got off to a shaky start as our bats were still asleep in the top of the first and the Mudhens plated 5 in the bottom of the inning despite a good effort and 2 K's by Ethan L. But true to our name the players fought back and tied the game with 5 runs in the top of the second. Daniel only needed 7 pitches in the bottom of the second thanks to 3 solid plays on defense - one his own and 2 by Caleb at 2B. After the team scored 5 more in the top of the third Parker struck out 3 in the bottom half. The Mudhen bats came alive in the 4th but Evan limited the damage to 2 runs with an unassisted put out at the plate, and then Theo closed out the game with 3 K's in the 5th. We got a strong game from Griffin both at the plate (2 hits) and behind it for 2 innings, but the game ball went to Ethan O who also caught 2 innings and capped our rally in the third with a 3-run HR. Hope Donovan's chest is feeling better after taking one for the team in the 4th.
