| Team Summaries | Issaquah Notes: Eastlake 2-3-1-0- 6 Issaquah 1-4-4-3- 12 A night celebrating the biggest senior class in Issaquah program history provided for a great pre-game ceremony though the lack of a full warm up contributed to a slow start for Issaquah. Making the challenge greater, Eastlake's Abe Escarda was fabulous in net and Issaquah struggled to find offensive rhythm. Trailing after one, Riley Richards behind the back tally on a big assist from freshman, Devin Tamblyn had the crowd on its feet. Issaquah followed with two more including a second from James Rauch, directly from the faceoff to put Issaquah up two. But the Wolves responded and tied it. Jake Lindahl scored his second in a row with just under a minute to play seemingly putting Issaquah up at half, but a last ditch effort with 12 seconds left saw Eastlake squeak one in as time expired to tie it again at half. Eastlake came out and scored first in the second half and it appeared briefly that Issaquah might be in a fight til the end. However, Lindahl began to impose his will a bit and Rauch began taking control of the faceoffs. Additionally, some adjustments on the defensive end and Issaquah pitched a shutout the rest of the way, taking control to walk away with the 6 point win. Eastlake Notes: |
