| Team Summaries | Emeralds Notes: After a strong performance as a team at the plate on Saturday, the Emeralds were humbled by strong pitching by the Storm. Half of the recorded out were strike outs and four of them were called third strikes. (Be ready to run at the next practice Emeralds player!) Highlights for the Ems included Luc's valiant effort to catch a foul ball. His all out sprint into foul territory was close, but he made the play on the next pitch when a fly ball was hit to him in left. Michael earned the game ball by coming in to close out an inning, legging out a triple and solid base running. The Ems will benefit from work on knowing the situation before the ball is pitched and swinging aggressively. Kudos to the Storm for solid pitching and hitting. Especially Hayden for his shutdown final inning and two big hits that drove in 4 runs. Storm Notes: |
