Hooks Notes:
Summer is here (and it's only Pi day or 3.14159265359) as the temps were deep into the 70's at game time at Back Caldecott. Great starting pitching for both teams as only 7 batters came to the plate in the first inning. Top 2nd has the Hooks lead with a walk and then a single by Aidan and a perfect bunt by Rudy to get the Hooks on the board. Bases clearing wall ball by Zach and then Jack brings him home for a total of 4. Then the bats came to life for the Timbler Rattlers, as they sprayed 3 hits around the field after a lead-off walk and put up a 5 spot to take the lead after 2 innings, 5-4. Timber Rattlers again sprayed the ball around in the 4th and the Hooks could not make a play and let another 5 pass home, 10-4 Timber Rattlers through 4. It stayed there after both teams could not score in the 5th. Rally caps came out for the Hooks and they charged back with 5 of their own in the top of the 5th with solid hits from Ben, Zach, and Caden, but it was not enough as the Timber Rattlers held on for the win 10-9.
