Newport went out to an early 3-0 lead in the 1st quarter behind some nice feeds to Weston Heuker from Zach Trimble who had just returned from a back injury. Wilson would then rattle off 6 straight spanning 3 quarters to put them up 6-3 midway through the 3rd quarter. Newport then flipped back on to put away the final 4 goals to retake the lead. The game would finish with Newport killing a 1 minute illegal body check behind 3 saves by Hayes Engevik. Time would expire with the ball rolling around the midfield. Newport takes their first of 2 games on spring break and will take tomorrow off for some team building.
