Knights Notes: No notesIslanders Notes: A great game on a hot day; the Islanders are on the wrong side of this exciting walk off win, but happy to have seen it in person!
The top of the first began with a bang, as the Islanders put up 4. Roller Coaster and Skittles showed that little guys can get the job done, each knocking in a run. The Knights answered right back, tho, scoring 2 in the bottom half.
Team Haka would extend in the top of the third, plating 5 more. Several Islanders put balls in play, none louder than Wubba's shot to center. Again the Knights would answer, scoring 4 in the bottom of the third as 'Duke reached his pitch limit.
The Islanders put up one more run in the top of the 4th - Jumbo walked and made his way to third for 'Duke to sacrifice him home. Armed with a 2-run lead, the Islanders took the field not suspecting that the bottom of the fourth would be the last, but the game's slow pace made it so. Sure enough, the Knights rallied, with a couple walks and then back to back 2-out shots to CF. The 3 spot on the board was enough to carry the day for the Knights!
