Lookouts Notes:
A game for the ages. Two teams that are evenely matched with great kids on both sides of the ball squared off today at Caldecott. The Noisemakers and the Lookouts played a crisp 6 inning ball game in less than two hours. But that's what happens when there are only two errors made in the game and the pitching for both teams was in mid season form.

The Sounds scrapped their way to a 2-0 lead in the 4th inning. And that's when the Lookouts finally awoke from their off season slumber. Despite some poor base coaching by the Lookouts 3rd base coach, patience at the plate paid off as key walks and a key hit from Gramps shot the Lookouts to a 3-2 lead and the eventual victory.

All great teams are built around pitching and defense and the Lookouts are no different. Two solid innings from Country Boy, followed by three dominating innings from K-Cohen and Gramps shutting the door in the 6th wasn't the only story of the game. Snake and Yahoo each threw out runners at third, and Hill Billy, M&M and K-Griff looked sharp on defense making great plays in the outfield. Papa Grande also made two nice grabs at short, making a coach/dad proud!

Every Lookout contributed to the win today, but the game ball went to K-Cohen. K-Cohen took the ball in the 3rd and kept the Sounds bats silent long enough for the Lookouts offense to break out. Great game K-Cohen...and to all the Lookouts. Eveyone should be proud of themselves. I know I am.
