Timber Rattlers Notes:
On the second game of a back-to-back weekend, the T-Rats were looking to see some new things from some people.

Fingers started on the mound and despite inducing several infield ground balls, he didn't escape the first before the speedy Stars were up 5-0. The T-Rats bounced back with 5 of their own, and Fingers needed only 8 pitches to get out of the 2nd.

The end of the game saw two T-Rats take the mound for the first time in their competitive careers! Wingles pitched the 4th and Mango the 5th. Both heeded coach's advice - concentrate on mechanics, throw strikes and trust the defense. And both of them were rewarded with inning-ending throwouts by the defense. Wingles' 4th ended on an E3-9-4-5 putout. Mango's ended off a single with an 8-2-5-2 rundown. Great job to both!

The T-Rats hit the ball many times, and wreaked a little havoc on the basepaths... but the only offensive highlight we need to single out was Bulldog's bomb to the GGA fence in left center. A true in-the-park homerun, unassisted by any errors or bad throws. Keep it up!
