Stadium Notes:
The Stadium Tigers kicked off their season with a victory over Bethel High School. Playing with a bench of two, and missing several high impact players, the Tigers controlled the tempo of the game from the first draw. Junior Audra Robinson made the first goal of the game three minutes into play. Bethel capitalized on their exceptionally speedy players and scored a slew of goals on coast to coast plays down the middle. Coming out of halftime, the Tigers made adjustments and only allowed two goals in the second half. Freshman and first year player Megan Brady made a strong showing in goal with six saves on 14 shots. Sophomore center Madison Sollars pitched in with six goals, while controlling seven draws. Defense players Elle Gladstone, Olivia Pichette and Jordan Johnson made several tenacious plays, and became a force in the second half despite no subsitutions the whole game. The Tigers set a high standard in their first showing, and are looking to improve on their efforts as they face Roosevelt High School on March 16.
